the Difference between Preschool 101 & Daycare

Preschool

At Preschool 101, we accept children between the ages of 3 to 5 years. The value of a preschool is that we focus on building knowledge for the children, and get them to be ready for formal education towards kindergarten. We focus on per-academics which prepare the children to be ready for the academics they will be learning in formal schooling. Schedules and routines are required to be followed to help preschoolers prepare for elementary school.  We operate 2-4 hours (like traditional kindergarten hours) and usually are open the same months and have similar school breaks as elementary schools. At Preschool 101, we perform assessments and screenings that guide the classroom educators to improve children’s strengths and developing areas of weaknesses.

Daycare

Unlike Preschool, some Daycare centers accept children between ages 6 months to 12 years of age. They provide a daycare  environment for children to stay and are taken care of when their parents are at work.
